A candidate serving in the Navy, Army, or Air Force at the time of applying must submit the form

to his Commanding Officer, for transmission through the usual channels to the Colonial Office.

A candidate resident in a Colony or Protectorate at the time of applying must submit the form to the Governor, for transmission to the Colonial Office; and a candidate resident in a Dominion, to the appropriate authority in that Dominion.

N.B.-In normaal circumstances a candidate should not call at the Colonial Office unless he receives a written invitation to do so.

The Director of Recruitment cannot undertake to see anyone who calls without such invitation.
